Happy St. Patricks Day!

Although we are not Irish, living in Savannah gave us a new appreciation for St. Patricks Day. Despite the cold and wind, we took Taylor downtown Raleigh for the parade. To the best of my recollection, this was her first parade. She was not terribly amused, but did get ice cream, candy, and party beads thrown to her! After the parade, we headed to the NC Natural Science Museum... it was reptile and amphibian day. The place was MOBBED!!!! We sucked it up and managed to enjoy a couple of hours there. We found a few quiet places where they only let in a few people at a time. One was the discovery area where kids get to touch and explore. Taylor played with shells, fossils, microscopes, lava rocks, etc... The other area that Will and I really enjoyed was the "Birds of Prey" exhibit. Will has always been enthralled with hawks and eagles. He could have spent hours in this exhibit, had Taylor not gotten hungry! So we headed to Snoopys for some mustard and chili hot dogs!!! Yummy... as anyone who has ever lived in Raleigh knows! We had a great family day, something that we don't do enough of! Hope everyone else is having a great weekend too!
