Happy Thanksgiving... a week late! We spent the holiday in Jacksonville with my family. Jamie and Audra flew in from Albuquerque and my grandmother came down from Baltimore. Pretty much the rest of my dad's family live there so we had a big crowd for Thanksgiving. We made a pit stop in Savannah on the way there and had breakfast at our favorite little breakfast place and took Taylor by our old house! It looked much better than the last time we saw it! Wednesday night in JAX we had an oyster roast with oysters (obviously), blue crabs, shrimp and mussels. YUMMY! Thursday was Thanksgiving and the typical foods, then Friday we met Will's brother, Ben, and his fiance in St. Augustine for lunch. St. Augustine is so lovely... by far our most favorite place in FL. Most of these pictures are from there... a couple from Thanksgiving day and the lighting of the Christmas tree downtown. We really didn't take that many pictures this time. Oh well!
We left JAX Saturday morning to be back in Raleigh for our high school reunion. We were a little sceptical at first, but it ended up being a great evening and everyone was super friendly! Will was impressed by how many people recognized him... what with all the gray hair and beard! Anyhow.... we've had a great start to the holiday season and will continue that this weekend with a trip to the Grove Park Inn in Asheville!
