Well, we are home now and adjusting to life with a newborn again. My mom has been here since last week, but left this morning... so today is officially my first day alone with Taylor and Caroline. I must say that we are doing pretty well so far... we are all dressed, fed and in good humor. Caroline had her first pediatrician appointment on Tuesday and was already back to birth weight! She is nursing great... such a relief since it took weeks of pumping milk and trying before Taylor ever latched on. Caroline has had some issues with days and nights, but we are quickly getting her on the right track. She is very alert and surprisingly awake much of the day. We have been looking at Taylor's baby pictures and are shocked at how much they look alike. I think I'm going to have to go back and label the pictures so I'll know who is who later on down the road.I'm feeling pretty good. Most of my soreness is gone now... just have to watch how I bend over because I have one spot in my abdomen that has been particularly more sore than everywhere else. The c-section was remarkably easy, it was just the aftermath that was a bit challenging... probably didn't help that I only took Tylenol post-op, but I hate the way narcotics make me feel. Oh well.... no pain meds are necessary now!
Alrighty... baby is crying.....
