Since Will is on break this week, we decided to get out of town for the day. Destination of choice? Wilmington... We got there at lunch time, so naturally, we had to eat some seafood on the water. We ate at a little place we use to frequent in college. It's not nearly as dumpy as it was back then... I think it burned down so they re-built. After lunch was the "highlight" of our daytrip... the aquarium. There were hardly any guests at the aquarium which was SO nice. Will says that I am turning into my dad in that regard... I can't stand crowded places... I get anxious and grumpy! It was a bumpy start at the aquarium because someone thought it would be a good idea to place an exact replica of an aligator right at the front door. Taylor would not go in... she insisted on being carried. Once we made it through the reptiles, she warmed up. Her favorite part was the huge fish tank with sharks! Afraid of a fake aligator, but loving the real sharks??? Interesting. I thought Caroline would sleep while at the aquarium, but she was very into the new sites. Check out the picture of her in the stoller looking up... she was parked in front of the huge tank and was looking up at all the fish swimming overhead. After fish viewing, we met up with some college friends for dinner (thanks Eliza and Tim), then headed home. Thank goodness for the DVD player in the car... after 30 minutes of "Sleeping Beauty", my girls were sleeping beauties all the way home!
