Taylor got her first pair of walking shoes this week! They are pink with bunnies on the toe. Her balance is much improved in her new shoes... I think because they force her to be flatfooted. She is always curling her feet up and standing on her tippy toes. The nice lady at Stride Rite that helped fit Taylor for her shoes told us that Taylor holds her personal record for the smallest feet on a (nearly) 10 month old. Size 1. I think we owe this privilege to Great Grandmother Deck (aka "GG") with her size 5 feet.
Taylor really likes the animal cube in the bottom picture because it has a mirror on top of it. She thinks that lots of other babies live in our house and
at GrandMerrie's because of all the mirrors! Anyhow, I decided to move the cube downstairs this morning for her to play and it slides around on the wood floors when she uses it to stand up. This, of course, had her walking behind it to stay up.... maybe we'll have a walker before too long! Oh yeah, and the ladies in the nursery at the YMCA love her because she is so tiny. They told me yesterday that they can't wait for her to start walking too!
