Yesterday was Taylor's 1st birthday and we had a cook-out to celebrate. We had a pretty good turnout, but wish everybody else didn't live so far away... anyway, I had fun... Taylor tried her best to enjoy it. As I have heard all too often lately, lots of babies seem to be sick for their first birthday. Taylor wasn't so much as sick, but grumpy because of new teeth. She did however cheer up for cake and presents! We had about decided to hold off on presents and put her to bed, but suddenly the SUGAR kicked in from her cake! She was quite amused with all of her gifts and ended up staying up until after 10:00 playing with them. Note to self and other new moms... do the cake early so the sugar high has time to wear off! All in all, we had a great time and are still amazed that we are parents!
