Camping in the Rain

This past weekend, we took Taylor on her first tent-camping trip to Uwharrie National Forest. Friday night it rained about 3 inches with howling wind! To say the least, we didn't sleep too well... but we all survived and had a great time Saturday playing in the mud. We had planned on camping until Sunday, but did not have any luck getting Taylor to sleep Saturday night. She was SO exhausted! About 8:00pm, I started throwing our wet, muddy camping gear in the truck. I had to help Will take the tent down, so I put Taylor in her carseat... as all you parents out there know, she was asleep in about 30 seconds! Despite cutting the trip a bit short, we had a good time and will probably try it again soon.
