Christmas at the Grove Park

What a wonderful way to start off the Christmas season! We had a lovely overnighter to Asheville and the Grove Park Inn. The hotel is so beautifully decorated for Christmas, along with all of the gingerbread houses. It is amazing to see those houses.... you have to do a double take on many of them to realize that they are made with candy.
We made a few other stops while in Asheville, for old times sake. We visited Will's old work, the candy store at Mast General Store and of course the Biltmore! We didn't do the whole estate and house this year (way too crowded and we've seen it many times already) so we just stopped at the gift shop, did a wine tasting and let Taylor pick out a few new Christmas ornaments. My favorite part of our trip, however, was sitting out on the massive stone porch of the Grove Park, drinking hot chocolate and watching the lights of downtown Asheville!
